Pastor David A. Grassley

Pastor David Grassley, was born and raised in Portland Oregon. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating, he entered the engineering profession in the food processing industry in the San Francisco Bay area. In 1977, he received his call to the Ministry and left the engineering profession that same year.

He attended Concordia in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and began his service as a Lay Minister in 1978 at Saint Paul Lutheran in Grafton, Wisconsin. He was a Lay Minister for four years at Saint Paul. He then entered Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. During his time at Concordia, he served his vicarage at Memorial Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. He graduated and was ordained in 1985 and was installed as Associate Pastor at Memorial that same year.

Pastor Grassley accepted a call as pastor from Redeemer Lutheran Church in the summer of 1995 and was installed here on September 17, 1995. He and his wife Patricia have been married since 1972 and have two sons, Scott and Philip.
